Big Ballin at Bain
What draws me to Bain over other consulting firms is their flexible structure and responsive style, which allow for innovative solutions tailored to the individual client. Bain distinguishes itself through its ability to be efficient in its delivery of services, attract and retain the best employees, and serve its clients fully through its focus on practicality and implementation. Moreover, I find the company’s diverse culture and fun-loving atmosphere very appealing. This company is a good fit for me, because I crave responsibility and have a passion for results. I am a strong believer in Bain’s credo that the most important thing a consulting firm can do, is to help make other companies more valuable. I would love to be a part of the Bain family, and hope to produce cost-effective, strategically optimal solutions myself.
As outlined in my resume, I have experience in a variety of fields, allowing me to bring a unique perspective to Bain. My experience with LaSalle Bank allowed me to develop my analytical and interpersonal skills. I had the opportunity not only to conduct research and analysis on various projects, but also to summarize my work in presentation form for our senior management. Multi-tasking was a daily requirement, forcing me to utilize my ability to quickly learn new concepts. As an Analyst in the Production Operations division of TRW, I learned much about analyzing data with spreadsheets and extracting information to aid in planning and process optimization. My teamwork and relationship with division managers will allow me to easily establish a strong rapport with my colleagues at Bain. Working at Purdue University has given me a great deal of research experience, which will help me efficiently gather data and conduct market research. Furthermore, I had the opportunity to present my research to Purdue faculty, in weekly meetings. As a Closing Coordinator at Lafayette Bank & Trust, my daily routine included coordinating client and realtor meetings and also communicating closely with clients, to ensure proper completion of their files and customer satisfaction. I believe that my positions as the Corporate Relations Chair of the Undergraduate Economics Society and as the Captain of my Tennis Team illustrate my leadership and initiative. I am a creative thinker and a team player and I am positive that I can make a significant contribution to Bain & Company, Inc.
