In conclusion, H.G Wells was very pessimistic about the future and the nature, and how these things would bring about man’s downfall. He expressed his emotions in many of his books, but the one that shadows his pessimism the most is War of the Worlds. Many things that happen in the book are very similar to events in his life. His pessimism is most likely due to struggles in his childhood, his struggles with relationships, beliefs that were planted in him or developed due to other people.
