Even if the majority of the homeless are never going to have a normal life, they can at least have a place out of snow in which to sleep, a hot meal every day, and some help with their infinite problems: “The rights of the homeless would be protected, as long as they could find us. And their voices would be heard through ours.” (pg. 252).
