A Life God Rewards Devotional

The novel that I have chosen is entitled A Life God Rewards Devotional. The author is Bruce Wilkinson along with David Kopp. Bruce Wilkinson is from Marie, Georgia and has written other books on the lord such as bestsellers like The Prayer of Jabez, Secrets of the Vine and many more. Bruce Wilkinson and David Koop feel that you will learn from this novel that Jesus wants to reward you generously in heaven for all that you have done here on earth. The book was also designed to help you act upon the truths Jesus revealed and experience the kind of lasting life-change you long for. The book was written so that you could find thirty-one days of personal mentoring and encouragement as well as suggestions for recording your spiritual adventure in the accompanying A Life God Rewards Journal.

This book is divided into four main sections not including the introduction. Each section is listed as a week to last you over your thirty-one day period in learning more about Christ and honoring him. Week one is entitled The Promise of Reward. Week two is entitled The Good News of the Bema. Week three is entitled Living the Life God Rewards. And week four is entitled At Home in Heaven. In the following paragraphs I will choose one day from each of the four weeks. Then I will explain what I perceive the author’s are trying to say and why is it important.

This is why Jesus stated I am the vine and you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit”. That means only if we remain in a close relationship with Jesus can we do works for Him that earn rewards in heaven. Below is a chart of Salvation and Reward:
