I think that people are influenced by disapproval. It is easy to get discouraged by someone saying negative and people take what other people say seriously. Pure pressure is taking what the people that you are around like friends and people you know and following the things they do or things they do. In the story “Prince of Tides” written by Pat Conroy the boys mother is really influenced by the negative things the two women saying like “I’d like to pull those flowers out of her hair and teach her how to do her nails.”
It is jealousy that makes people say negative things about other people and when someone gets hurt they do what that other person said about them. Some times its not something to do with fashion it can do with how some one acts ore their attitude people will change those things because someone doesn’t approve. I have heard people say things like when a person said to my friend about a shirt he was wearing they said it was ugly I didn’t see him wear it ever again. People feel that they have to fit in to feel normal it is a big part of who they are.
That is my opinion on why people are influenced and why they do what they do. It is easy for people to change because of someone they look up to say something that affects them.
